Rides to Wellness - (810) 780-8946
Rides to Wellness is a comprehensive non-emergency medical transportation program that provides mobility management, door-to-door service, and same day service to riders going to medical or other health and wellness-related appointments.
Who can use Rides to Wellness?
Rides to Wellness is open to all passengers of the general public who reside in the MTA’s service area. If you are interested in utilizing the services of Rides to Wellness, please call (810) 780-8946 for more information. In addition to serving the general public, Rides to Wellness provides service to passengers who may be connected with Rides to Wellness partner agencies. Rides to Wellness partner agencies provide transportation to older adults, persons with disabilities, and the transportation disadvantaged in Genesee County. Partner agencies include:
Genesee County Department of Veterans Services – Offers FREE door-to-door, same day, or pre-scheduled transportation to qualifying veterans, their spouses or surviving widows.
Genesee Health Plan – Offers FREE rides to health and wellness destinations for their Spanish-speaking clients. Call the Health Navigator: 810-339-6389
Michigan Department of Health and Human Services – Don’t let your lack of wheels keep you from getting to your doctor appointment, the pharmacy, grocery store, Flint Farmers’ Market, or Help Center. MDHHS has partnered with MTA Flint to offer FREE rides to health and wellness destinations.
How does my agency become a Rides to Wellness partner agency?
Rides to Wellness is adding new partners all the time, so if you are an organization or agency who needs premium transportation for your clients and are interesting in learning more about a transportation partnership, please contact Traci Davis at: tdavis@mtaflint.org.

We will pick you up from the following 6 local medical offices and drop you off at the downtown Transfer Center.

Vets to Wellness
Riders can travel to many health and wellness related locations throughout Genesee County. No longer will a lack of transportation keep local veterans from getting to doctor’s appointments, the pharmacy, the grocery store, farmers’ markets and other community resources. Call the Genesee County Veterans Services Office to establish eligibility: 810-257-3068 To qualify, veterans must be honorably discharged from military service and a resident of Genesee County.
